An open-source supply-chain security mini-track is being co-organized at PyCon US 2025. It will take place on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh. The mini-track is designed for both users and maintainers of open-source projects. Several short talks and discussions are planned, focusing on security best practices and current events. PyCon US 2025 registration is required to attend. Promotion of the event on social media is encouraged. Confirmed speakers will present on topics including the EU Cyber Resilience Act, CVEs in open-source software, and security for scientific Python. Lightning talks may also be included. While recordings won't be made, a written summary of the event will be provided. Numerous other security-related talks are available at PyCon US 2025 and the Maintainers Summit. Contact Seth Larson or Dustin Ingram for any questions.
