Signal has introduced a new feature that allows users to create a call link and share it with up to 50 people, eliminating the need to select contacts one by one. This feature is available on Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS, and users can access it by going to the Calls tab. The call link is reusable, making it convenient for fixed call times. Participants can raise their hands and send emojis during the call. Hosts have the option to set up the room so that people must be approved before joining the conversation. The new group call experience is similar to Zoom, offering a conference call-like experience with a focus on privacy. The desktop app offers more options, similar to Zoom. This feature is also similar to Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, which also offer a raise hands function. WhatsApp also offers group calls, but with a lower participant count of 32 people and no raise hands function. Users who don't see the new feature yet are advised to update their Signal app.
