Sonos CEO Patrick Spence Steps Down After Disastrous App Launch

Sonos CEO Patrick Spence has stepped down following a difficult period for the company, marked by a problematic app rollout that upset customers and negatively impacted sales of its new headphones. Tom Conrad, a board member and former Pandora CTO, will serve as interim CEO while the company searches for a permanent replacement. Spence's departure comes eight months after the botched app launch, which was plagued by missing features and technical issues, leading to widespread customer complaints. As part of his severance package, Spence will receive $1.875 million and remain a strategic advisor until June 30, earning $7,500 per month.
