Spotify's managed accounts will help keep your kids from wrecking your music taste profile
Spotify has launched a new feature called "managed accounts" for younger listeners. This feature allows parents using a Spotify Premium Family plan to create separate profiles for their children. These profiles offer personalized music recommendations and custom playlists tailored to the child's preferences. Parents can filter explicit content ensuring a curated listening experience for their kids. They can also limit certain artists and hide video features like Canvas. Managed accounts prevent children's listening habits from affecting their parents' annual Wrapped results. The "Exclude from your Taste Profile" feature provides additional parental control over the music recommendations. Managed accounts offer more features than the Spotify Kids app. Setting up a managed account requires going into account settings. The Spotify Premium Family plan, which costs $20 per month, is necessary.
