Spotify's redesigned tvOS app brings podcast and music videos to Apple TV

Spotify has revamped its Apple TV app, introducing a more user-friendly experience. The update integrates mobile features like queue management and lyrics display. Users can now control Spotify on Apple TV remotely via Connect, avoiding prior volume control issues. Spotify DJ, an AI-powered playlist guide, is also available for music selection. Podcast videos are now supported, with adjustable playback speeds. Spotify's music video feature is also included, allowing Premium subscribers in select markets to watch music videos. These additions offer a richer visual and interactive dimension. This update aligns with Spotify's plan to bring podcast videos to Netflix in 2026. The app features a redesigned interface specifically for tvOS. The new Spotify for Apple TV should be fully available by mid-November.
