Spreadsheet puzzles, metatextual platformers and other new indie games worth checking out

This weekly indie game roundup highlights noteworthy releases and upcoming titles. Due to the sheer volume of daily indie game releases, the focus is on games that stand out. SpreadCheat, a spreadsheet-based puzzle game with a retro aesthetic, is now available on Steam. Spear, a solo-developed action-platformer, features an NPC saving the game world, also on Steam. Captain Blood, a pirate hack-and-slash game announced in 2003, finally launched across multiple platforms after overcoming various delays. Geoguessr's Steam early access release and Among Us 3D's launch are also mentioned. Upcoming titles include Zefyr: A Thief's Melody, a stealth adventure game releasing on Steam in June. Botsu, a voxel-based Fall Guys-like game from Devolver Digital, is expected between July and September. Finally, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, a 2D adaptation of a VR game, is slated for a September 30th release on PS5 and PC. The roundup aims to provide a concise overview of the week's most interesting indie game developments.
