Stable Channel Update for Desktop

Google Chrome has released an update to its Stable channel, version 141.0.7390.65/.66 for Windows and Mac, and 141.0.7390.65 for Linux. This update will be gradually rolled out to users. A comprehensive list of changes is available in the release log. The update addresses three security vulnerabilities, with details on some of these fixes being restricted until wider adoption. Two significant security issues were highlighted, including a high-severity heap buffer overflow in Sync, reported by raven, and a high-severity use after free vulnerability in Storage, reported by Sombra. A medium-severity out of bounds read in WebCodecs, discovered by Jakob Košir, was also fixed. Google extended gratitude to external security researchers for their contributions to identifying and preventing bugs. They also acknowledged the use of various advanced tools in detecting security flaws. Users interested in changing their release channel can find instructions for doing so. For new issues or assistance, users are encouraged to file a bug report or consult the community help forum.
