Star Citizen approaches billion-dollar crowdfunding mark, still no release date

Sprawling massively-multiplayer space RPG Star Citizen is either the most lucrative scam in gaming or a project with infinite potential, according to who you ask. What it isn't, though, is anywhere near finished. Developer Roberts Space Industries has supposedly been working on it since 2010, but they're evidently in no hurry to finish.
