Super-conductivity in twisted trilayer graphene linked to electronic compressibility oscillations

Understanding how different signatures of strong interactions relate to one another has been a long-standing challenge. Now, a technique that combines local thermodynamic measurements with transport measurements in a single twisted trilayer graphene device reveals that superconductivity coincides with characteristic oscillations in the electronic compressibility but remains independent of the correlated insulating phases.
