The Chevrolet Bolt, a budget-friendly electric vehicle, is returning to the market. It was discontinued in 2023 but will reappear as a refreshed 2027 model. The new Bolt will be available in early 2026, starting with a comfort trim priced around $29,990. A cheaper base model, the LT, will follow, with a starting price of $28,995. This new Bolt boasts an estimated range of 255 miles and enhanced charging capabilities. Charging speeds are significantly improved, reaching up to 150kW, and can charge from 10-80% in 26 minutes. The Bolt will utilize a new LFP battery and a native NACS port. The interior features a new 11-inch driver display and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen with Google built-in. Apple CarPlay compatibility has been dropped from the new model. Chevy plans to sell the Bolt as a "limited run model", responding to customer desire.
