Alright folks, I'm stuck. Got a bunch of AutoCAD DWG files from a client and of course I don't have AutoCAD installed on my new Windows 11 machine. I just need to look at these drawings—check dimensions, peek at layers, maybe print a few sheets. That's it. No editing, no fancy stuff. Problem is, every viewer I try either chugs on large files, messes up the rendering, or asks for money before I can even zoom in. I'm not looking for a full-blown CAD suite here—just a light weight dwg file viewer that opens the files quickly, shows them correctly, and doesn't make my fan sound like a jet engine. What are you guys actually using that works? Bonus points if it handles newer DWG formats without complaining. Hit me with your recommendations. Thanks!
