The most promising new email app I’ve seen in years

This week, the newsletter is changing to include a few shorter items instead of one long one. Notion, a popular productivity app, has launched an email service called Notion Mail, which allows users to customize their email experience. Notion Mail is currently in preview and requires a Gmail account and a Mac or Windows PC. The app is part of Notion's effort to create a comprehensive productivity environment. Notion's approach to email is innovative, but it's also reminiscent of Evernote, which had a strong fan base but lost momentum due to a lack of focus on its core app. Notion is expanding its offerings, including a calendar app, and it's important that it doesn't lose focus on its core product. In the "Plugged In" section, recommendations include articles on Meta, Intel, and a new map-Wikipedia mashup.
