The Roblox economy is going global, as users can now set regional pricing

Roblox implemented regional pricing for in-game items, adjusting prices based on the buyer's location. This addresses previous pricing disparities where users in developing countries paid the same as those in wealthier nations. The change aims to boost activity and earnings for international users and creators. Creators must opt into the regional pricing system. The system automatically sets and updates prices based on economic fluctuations. This mirrors practices used by other companies like Nintendo. Creators earn Robux by selling items; regional pricing currently excludes avatar items, but will include them later. A recent price optimization tool already increased creator earnings by approximately four percent. This tool helps creators find the optimal price point for maximizing sales. The combination of these features seeks to make Roblox's marketplace more accessible and profitable for a wider range of participants.
