The Switch 2's latest update improves the console's GBA emulator
Nintendo's Game Boy Advance emulator on Nintendo Switch Online received a 3.0.0 update. The update includes a much-requested button remapping feature, similar to the N64 and SNES emulators. Games now run at 1080p in handheld mode on the Nintendo Switch OLED and the recently released Switch 2. A hidden original GBA startup screen is accessible via a hidden feature. This update adds visual customization options including a bordered small screen and a "classic feel" filter. No new Game Boy Advance games were added to the service with this update. The wait for titles like Mario Golf: Advance Tour continues. The update improves the overall user experience for existing GBA games. The addition of higher resolution and customizable controls enhances the emulation experience. The hidden Easter egg adds a fun, nostalgic touch.
