The World's Wars In Search Of Meaning

The world is entering an age of uncertainty, and governments are preoccupied with immediate challenges, but societies are fighting for something more fundamental to their identity. The global strategic evolution is marked by several vital issues that cannot be ignored, including the revival of US dominance, the decline of the Chinese Communist Party, and the diminished likelihood of a Taiwan invasion. The effectiveness of 20th-century treaties has come to an end, and everything is up for discussion. Iran is on the verge of change, which will alter the nature of Iranian society, and Russia is emerging as a major global power. Turkey is becoming increasingly unstable and may engage in conflict with Israel and/or Greece. Illegal migration into Western Europe may become more manageable with a unified government in Libya. Africa is entering a new era of self-determination and re-defined borders, while Central Asia is emerging as a new strategic zone. The Americas are undergoing transformation, but Oceania is experiencing political and economic stagnation. In the longer term, the world is moving towards an age bereft of history, identity, and considered values and goals, and societies must define themselves and their goals to survive and prosper.
