Bulgaria will adopt the euro (EUR) as its official currency on January 1, 2026, replacing the Bulgarian lev (BGN). Consequently, App Store purchases and subscriptions in Bulgaria will switch to euros. Your sales proceeds from Bulgaria will also be converted to euros. If your bank account in App Store Connect is set to lev, it will automatically change to euro on December 1, 2025. Other bank currencies will remain unchanged. The fixed conversion rate is 1.95583 BGN to 1 EUR. Pricing for apps and subscriptions will be updated to euro, rounded down to supported price points. Pricing in other storefronts may also be adjusted for equalization. Auto-renewing subscriptions will continue uninterrupted, with prices automatically updated to euros. Customers will be notified of the currency change via email. Both lev and euro prices must be communicated to customers within apps during the transitional period until August 8, 2026. Sales and Trends reports will show euros for transactions after the change, and financial reports will segregate earnings by currency and report. All refunds processed after January 1, 2026, will be in euros.
