On January 7, 2025, at 1:28 PM PST, an issue with the Vertex Gemini API caused a high rate of "500" errors on Gemini 1.5 Flash and Pro 002. Engineering teams are working to resolve the issue on both platforms. Gemini 1.5 Flash is making steady progress, and error rates on Gemini 1.5 Pro 002 have decreased to 1-3%. Full resolution is expected after mitigation is applied. Customers may experience intermittent "500" errors until the issue is resolved.
