Use Gemini in the side panel of Workspace apps in four more languages

Gemini, a feature in the side panel of Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Gmail, is now available in four additional languages: Greek, Catalan, Indonesian, and Malay. This feature allows users to get help with summarizing, brainstorming, and generating content without switching applications or tabs. Image generation is also supported in these languages, except for people image generation. The default setting for Gemini features in Workspace services is on, and admins can manage access to AI features. End users can access Gemini in the side panel by clicking on the "Ask Gemini" button in the top right corner of Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail on the web. The feature will work according to the language set in the user's Google account. The rollout pace is gradual, starting on March 10, 2025, for Rapid Release domains and March 18, 2025, for Scheduled Release domains. Gemini in the side panel is available to specific Google Workspace customers, including those with Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, and certain add-ons. The Gemini Business and Gemini Enterprise add-ons are no longer available for sale as of January 15, 2025.
