Use Gemini in the side panel of Workspace apps in seventeen more languages

Gemini, a feature in the side panel of Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Gmail, is now available in 17 additional languages. These languages include Arabic, Chinese, Czech, and many others. With Gemini, users can get help with summarizing, brainstorming, and generating content without switching applications or tabs. Image generation is also supported in these languages. While Gemini is generally available in these languages, some users may still see the "Alpha" badge as more features are rolled out. Gemini in the side panel of Slides and Chat is only available in English for now. Image generation of people is not supported in these additional languages yet. Admins can manage access to AI features in Workspace services, and end users can access Gemini by clicking the "Ask Gemini" button in the top right corner of the apps. The rollout of this feature will be gradual, starting on February 19, 2025, for Rapid Release domains and February 26, 2025, for Scheduled Release domains. This feature is available to Google Workspace customers with certain plans, including Business Standard and Plus, and Enterprise Standard and Plus.
