In Reply We thank Dr Pei for her observations regarding clinical applicability of our trial of varenicline added to remotely delivered behavioral support for adolescent and young adult nicotine vaping cessation. We appreciate the call for stratified analyses to inform clinical practice, identify risk factors, and support successful e-cigarette quit attempts in adolescents. Initial findings in the literature do suggest that cannabis co-use, high concentration nicotine, and use of sweet or candy-flavored nicotine vapes may reduce success in attaining abstinence from vaped nicotine.
