Apple has refreshed its smart home product lineup, introducing the HomeView, HomePod mini 2, and a new Apple TV 4K. The HomeView is a new $299 smart home hub designed to centralize device control and offer personalized content for multiple users. It will support Siri AI features but some AI functionalities will require an iPhone or iPad. Notably, the HomeView will not be available in the European Union. The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, also priced at $299, receives an upgraded A19 chip, Wi-Fi 7, increased storage, and far-field microphones for hands-free Siri. It will also gain support for Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. The HomePod mini is updated with a faster chip and new color options, retailing for $149. The HomePod mini 2 is slated to receive Siri AI support at a later date. New Siri remotes are also available separately. Additionally, Apple launched the "Apple Home Collection" featuring cameras, locks, and thermostats. ADT will offer in-home installation services for some of these new Apple home products. The HomeView boasts five privacy features and can dim its display to its lowest-ever brightness.
