What temps are considered low/medium low/medium/medium high?

Title, most recipes will say either a direct temp or just a general “medium low” or something like that. I have a glass top that goes by standard numbers from low, 2-8/9, high. I wish cooktops had better control as far as temps go, obscure numbers seem to not be helpful especially when I feel as if 3 gets just as hot as 6 if I leave the pan on the burner long enough submitted by /u/Swee10
