WhatsApp Will Soon Let You Manage Storage on a Per-Chat Basis

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature to enhance storage management within individual chat threads. Currently, users can manage storage globally through settings or view media within a chat's info page. However, the existing chat info option doesn't display file sizes. The new "Manage Storage" option will appear directly on the chat info page in the latest beta. This update will show the total storage occupied by each conversation. Users will be able to see a grid of shared media, including photos, videos, and documents. These files will be organized by their respective sizes. Sorting options like "Newest," "Oldest," and "Largest" will be available for easier navigation. This improves upon the current system by allowing users to identify large files within specific chats more efficiently. The feature's official release date is not yet announced but is expected soon due to its advanced development.
