Apple announced the HomePod mini 2, which will gain Siri AI support via a future software update, though it will require a compatible iPhone or iPad. The full-sized HomePod was not updated, but alt text on its product page now mentions a "multi-colored Siri AI glow on top." This could indicate future Siri AI integration for the larger speaker, or it might be an error. Previous reports suggested Apple intended to update the full-sized HomePod eventually, and Siri AI support may be reserved for a new model.
