By default, right-clicking an empty area on the taskbar opens the taskbar settings menu instead of the classic context menu that includes the Task Manager and Show Desktop options. The classic menu appears only when you right-click while holding down the Shift key. This change adds an extra step required to quickly access the Task Manager from the taskbar.
