Instagram has started rolling out a Spotify integration that allows users to add songs from posts and Reels directly to their Spotify library. This feature is now available to users worldwide. To use the feature, users can tap on the song name at the bottom of an Instagram post, which will take them to the audio preview page. On this page, a new "Add" button with the Spotify logo will be visible next to the audio scrubber. Tapping this button will add the song to the user's "Liked Songs" in their Spotify library. Users will need to link their Spotify account with their Instagram account the first time they use the feature, but subsequent uses will be a one-tap process. This integration is similar to a feature already available on TikTok, which allows users to add songs to their music streaming library, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Instagram is also reportedly working on another integration feature that would allow users to share what they're listening to on Spotify as notes on top of their profile picture. This feature was discovered in development by mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi in August. The new integration feature is a convenient way for users to discover and save new music from Instagram posts and Reels.
