You can now pre-order Pokémon Legends: Z-A for the Switch and Switch 2

Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the sequel to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is now available for pre-order. The digital version can be purchased for $60 for the old Switch or $70 for the new Switch 2 from Nintendo's website. If you buy the game for the old Switch, you can later purchase an upgrade pack for $10 to access better graphics and a higher frame rate on the new Switch 2. Pre-ordering allows you to pre-load the game, which will be available to play on October 16. The game is also a sequel to Pokémon X and Y, and is set in Lumiose City, which was introduced in X and Y. The game features three available starters: Chikorita, Totodile, and Tepig. The gameplay is a mix of real-time capture mechanics and traditional turn-based gameplay. The game is bringing back the Mega Evolution mechanic, which temporarily transforms a Pokémon into a stronger monster. The physical version of the game is also available for pre-order from retailers like Walmart and Best Buy. It is unclear if pre-ordering the game will come with any bonuses, but the Walmart listing hints at an "exclusive gift with purchase".
