Zelensky Declares Expansion Of Long-Range Attacks On Russian Oil Refineries

President Zelensky has announced plans to expand long-range attacks on Russian oil refineries. This follows his recent plea for more long-range weapons from European allies. Zelensky stated that Russian oil refining is already suffering and will face further consequences. Ukraine intends to broaden the geographical scope of these long-range strikes. Recent months have seen frequent Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. Drones are challenging to intercept due to their small size and are often deployed in large numbers. Despite US intelligence assistance to Ukraine regarding these attacks, there's no indication of approval for Tomahawk missiles. Ukraine has also targeted Russian defense sector and manufacturing sites, including a plastics plant where an explosion killed 13 people. Russia has retaliated with attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities, causing power outages in some areas. Russian strikes have also hit civilian manufacturing companies in Kyiv. Both sides continue to target energy and manufacturing sites, with Russia possessing advantages in weapon systems.
