20 Million New SUI Tokens Push Treasury To New High – Details
SUI Group Holdings has significantly increased its SUI token holdings, now possessing approximately 102 million tokens valued at around $344 million. This latest acquisition of 20 million SUI was facilitated through a special arrangement with the Sui Foundation. The company, trading as SUIG on Nasdaq, secured these tokens at a discounted price through a private deal. Most of its SUI holdings are actively staked, generating an annual yield of about 2.2%. This staking income amounts to roughly $20,000 in daily rewards for the company. SUI Group also maintains nearly $60 million in liquid cash, intended for future discounted token acquisitions. The metric of SUI per share is now a key indicator for investors, currently standing at 1.14 SUI per share. Following the announcement, the SUI token price saw a modest increase of about 4%. This exclusive deal with the Sui Foundation allows SUI Group to acquire locked tokens at a lower cost than the open market. The company's substantial token holdings position it among the largest holders within the Sui ecosystem, garnering market attention.
