95% of MAGA Republicans approve of Trump. For non-MAGA Republicans, it's 47%.

Recent national polls show President Trump's approval ratings at historically low points. These same polls indicate a significant Democratic lead over Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections. This presents a challenge for Republicans who rely on Trump's base but need independent voters to win competitive races. Economic concerns are now a major vulnerability for Trump, with low approval for his handling of cost of living and inflation. Even President Trump's approval among Republicans is declining, though still high. A notable divide is emerging within the Republican party, particularly between MAGA supporters and non-MAGA Republicans. A substantial portion of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents desire a party direction independent of Trump. Consequently, many Republican candidates in competitive races are downplaying or distancing themselves from Trump. Some candidates have even removed Trump's name and endorsements from their campaign materials. Despite this, some Republican candidates continue to appear with Trump while simultaneously criticizing policies or seeking to avoid direct association.
