These solutions aim to modernize mainframe applications by focusing on assessment, code transformation, and testing. The Google Cloud Mainframe Assessment Tool, powered by Gemini, helps analyze mainframe applications for informed modernization decisions. Google Cloud Mainframe Rewrite, also powered by Gemini, transforms legacy code into modern languages. Dual Run facilitates de-risking the modernization process by comparing outputs between the mainframe and modernized applications. Mechanical Orchard, a Google Cloud partner, offers a platform for rapidly rewriting mainframe applications into modern languages. This approach utilizes generative AI to rewrite components incrementally without disrupting the original logic. Google Cloud is also introducing a Mainframe Modernization with Gen AI Accelerator program with partners like Accenture, EPAM, and Thoughtworks. This program involves detailed assessments, proof-of-value stages, and scaled modernization execution. Qualified customers can access a no-cost assessment to kickstart their modernization journey.
