Last year's introduction of Gemini LTI aimed to improve the educational experience for both teachers and students. Today's announcement reveals the integration of NotebookLM and Gems into Gemini LTI. This allows educators to create and publish weekly or topic-specific Notebooks or Gems within Gemini LTI. These resources can include teaching materials to support student learning. Educators can leverage Notebooks to define curriculum and empower self-paced learning. Gems can be used to create FAQs for quick student access to assignment information. Students can utilize NotebookLM to generate audio overviews of course material. They can also receive real-time coaching and assistance through Gems. Admins must enable Google Workspace LTI and Gemini services in their Admin Console. LMS administrators also need to enable Gemini LTI within their respective platforms. This feature is available to specific Google Workspace education editions and customers with Gemini Education add-ons.
