Google Forms will automatically upgrade existing forms to include granular controls over who can respond. This upgrade allows form creators to limit response access to specific users, groups, or target audiences. Previously, form creators had to manually upgrade their forms to gain these controls. After the upgrade, all previous responders will still be able to access the form. Form creators can then modify the sharing settings as needed using the new controls. The form remains active and available for responses during the upgrade process. Admins have no specific controls over this feature. The feature is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and personal Google accounts users. The rollout will occur on January 29, 2026, using an extended rollout schedule. Form creators can learn more about sharing forms in the Google Help Center.
