The Google Workspace Allowlisted Domains API is now generally available. This new API allows organizations to automate the management of their allowlisted domains. Previously, this was a manual process within the Google Workspace Admin console. The API, part of the Cloud Identity API suite, enables programmatic control over trusted external sharing boundaries. This automation helps restrict external collaboration to verified partners, reducing data exfiltration risks. It also strengthens security without manual administrative effort. The API supports core CRUD operations for managing allowlisted domains. Exact-match filtering is available within the List API for verifying specific domains. Administrator privileges are required to configure these rules via the API. End users do not need to take any action for this feature. The rollout began on August 19, 2026, and is available to all Google Workspace customers.
