America is in a Serious Jobs Slump
For the first time in over four years, the number of open jobs in the U.S. has fallen below the number of job seekers. In July, job openings decreased to an estimated 7.18 million, marking the lowest level in ten months. This situation is viewed as a significant turning point for the labor market. The number of unemployed workers stood at 7.2 million, exceeding job openings for the first time since April 2021.
