Announcing new capabilities for enabling defenders and securing AI innovation

AI offers organizations a significant opportunity to improve their security posture and reduce risk. Google Cloud is introducing new capabilities to help secure AI initiatives and leverage AI for enhanced organizational security. For securing AI innovation, new features in Security Command Center's AI Protection solution will help protect the AI ecosystem. Expanded AI agent inventory and risk identification will automate the discovery of AI agents and identify vulnerabilities. Advanced in-line protection and posture controls will safeguard agent interactions against runtime threats like prompt injection. Proactive threat detection and management for agentic AI will enhance incident response using frontline intelligence. The vision for an agentic Security Operations Center (SOC) aims to coordinate agents for shared security goals, automating tasks from alert triage to response. An Alert Investigation agent, currently in preview, can autonomously enrich events and build process trees based on expert practices. Mandiant Consulting now offers AI security consulting, including risk-based AI governance and threat modeling, to help organizations adopt AI responsibly. Google Unified Security is enhanced with AI-powered experiments in SecOps Labs and new dashboards for visualizing security data. Chrome Enterprise is improving secure mobile browsing with protections extended to iOS and Android, including blocking access to certain AI sites to reduce shadow AI risks. Trusted Cloud updates include Compliance Manager for automating AI workload compliance and Data Security Posture Management for sensitive data governance. Agentic IAM will auto-provision agent identities, and the IAM role picker will use Gemini to recommend least-permissive roles. Data security is expanded to monitor Vertex AI and inspect images for sensitive data, while network security introduces Zero Trust networking for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
