Apple Charging 20% More To Replace Batteries in iPhone 16 Pro Models

Apple has raised the out-of-warranty battery replacement fee for iPhone 16 Pro models to $119, an increase of 20% from $99 for the iPhone 15 Pro series. This fee includes the cost of a new battery and service at Apple Stores. Third-party providers may charge different fees. The standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models retain the $99 replacement fee. AppleCare+ members can still replace their iPhone 16 Pro battery for free if its capacity falls below 80%. All iPhone 16 models have larger batteries and an improved internal design for better heat dissipation. Rumors of a metal battery enclosure in some models remain unconfirmed pending teardowns.
