Apple has launched its latest operating system, iOS 27, to the public. Along with the prominent new Siri AI chatbot, a hidden feature called the dogcow, named Clarus, has reappeared. This unique creature, a blend of dog and cow, originated as a pixel art glyph in early Mac operating systems. Historically, the dogcow glyph was used to indicate page orientation for printing. Its unusual appearance made it a popular and mythical figure among Mac developers. After being removed from the OS for some time, the dogcow has been reintroduced in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. To find this easter egg in iOS 27, navigate to Settings, then Appearance, and select Liquid Glass. Continue scrolling past "The Rainbow" heading in the preview window. The letters "Moof!" will appear sequentially in the search field. Subsequently, the preview image will update to display a modern rendition of the dogcow gazing into water. This reappearance signifies a return to Apple's tradition of including playful easter eggs in its software.
