Their relationship stemmed from legal work for billionaire Leon Black, leading to social events and job-seeking favors. Karp described a dinner at Epstein's mansion as unforgettable, highlighting Epstein's hosting skills. Scott Barshay will replace Karp as chairman. Paul Weiss had previously settled with the White House to avoid restrictions on representing clients.
