Carrier Link for Google Voice ... Note

Carrier Link for Google Voice available in 14 additional countries

Google Voice is expanding its Carrier Link service to an additional 14 countries, including the US, Canada, and much of Europe. Previously, users in these regions had to use Google's first-party calling plans. Now, customers can opt for Carrier Link to utilize Google Voice features with a calling plan from a local carrier. This expansion follows an initial launch in 20 countries in June. Google has partnered with Southlight Services, Gamma Communications, Tata Communications, and Telefonica Global Solutions for these offerings. Carrier Link enables Workspace customers to integrate local carrier phone numbers and calling plans through a pre-configured SIP Link implementation. This simplifies setting up cloud phone systems, allowing for call management and payment through local providers with minimal configuration. The service is particularly beneficial for small businesses seeking a reliable phone solution without complex hardware setup. Administrators can initiate the process by contacting a Carrier Link partner to provision licenses and phone numbers. End users require no specific actions as the setup is handled by administrators. The rollout is gradual, starting on October 8, 2026, and will be visible across domains within 15 days. Carrier Link is available to Workspace customers with Google Voice Starter, Standard, or Premier subscriptions.
