Google Vids now integrates Gemini Omni, allowing users to generate videos using their personal avatars. This feature enables scalable video creation without requiring extensive studio time. A secure verification process captures and manages a user's likeness for use as a character in Omni generations. Users can easily add their verified personal avatar through a selector within Vids. Administrators have control over this feature, with the ability to manage or disable it via the Admin console. Initially, personal avatars are available in English only for users aged 18 and above. This feature is currently not accessible in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom. Admins will find the feature enabled by default and can adjust settings at the domain level. The rollout begins on July 16, 2026, for Rapid Release domains and August 5, 2026, for Scheduled Release domains. Personal avatars are available across various Google Workspace editions, including Business, Enterprise, and Education tiers, as well as for consumers with specific Google AI plans.
