Google is launching a new Chrome feature for Android and desktop that automatically disables notifications from repeatedly ignored websites. This builds upon existing safety checks for permissions and a similar Android functionality for manual unsubscriptions. The feature targets sites with high notification volume and low user engagement, as most web notifications receive negligible interaction. It will not affect notifications from installed web apps.
