Google Sheets is enhancing its conditional notifications feature. Previously, users could set a maximum of 10 rules per spreadsheet to trigger email alerts. This limit has now been increased to 20 rules per spreadsheet. These notifications can be customized based on specific criteria within the spreadsheet. For instance, users can receive alerts when a task status changes or when they are assigned to something. The expanded rule limit allows for more frequent and diverse applications of this feature. Admins do not have control over this setting, and it is enabled by default. End users can access and configure these rules through the "Tools" menu in Google Sheets. The feature is available now for all Google Workspace editions, including individual subscribers and personal Google account users.
