Google Workspace is introducing context-aware access policies for Gemini Enterprise in its Admin console. These policies allow administrators to define granular security attributes for Gemini Enterprise access. Administrators can control access based on factors like device security and location settings. For instance, policies can restrict Gemini Enterprise usage from particular geographic regions. Organizations can also leverage existing security policies by applying them to Gemini Enterprise. Gemini Enterprise is available for Enterprise Standard and Plus, Education Standard and Plus, and Frontline Standard and Plus, among other plans. To implement these policies, administrators must have purchased Gemini Enterprise. End users will authenticate using their Google sign-in and will be notified if their access is restricted by these policies. Help Center resources are available for administrators to learn more about configuring these settings. The feature will begin rolling out on September 8, 2026, and should be fully visible by September 15, 2026.
