Create custom soundtracks with Lyria 3 in the Gemini app

Gemini now lets you create custom 30-second soundtracks using its Lyria 3 music generation model. This allows users to transform text prompts and images into unique musical pieces. You can create different types of music, like jingles or beats, simply by describing what you desire. This feature provides new ways for musical expression within the Gemini app. Educators and students can generate custom instrumentals for projects and presentations. The music generation feature in Gemini is currently available globally. It supports English, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and French. The feature is available for users over 18. Admins control the in-app tools through Workspace Admin settings. End users with Gemini access will automatically receive Lyria 3. The full rollout began on February 18, 2026, for eligible users.
