Create structured documents using just your voice with Docs Live in Google Docs on mobile

Docs Live is a new feature for the Google Docs mobile app on Android and iOS, now rolling out to eligible Workspace users. This feature acts as a hands-free thought partner and co-writer, enabling users to build structured, context-aware documents using natural conversation. It addresses the challenge of starting documents on mobile devices when ideas are fresh, even if thoughts are unstructured. Docs Live can reference and pull context from emails, chats, and Drive files to help draft various documents like project updates or proposals. Users can brainstorm requirements, pull context from Workspace, and generate a structured first draft using their voice. For administrators, this feature is enabled by default for users with Gemini in Docs. End users are advised to speak naturally and openly, be clear about their goal, and leverage Gemini's ability to synthesize information from Gmail, Drive, Chat, and the web. The rollout is now available for both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. It is available across various business, enterprise, consumer, and education add-on plans. Users can visit the Help Centers for more information on generating documents with voice and managing Gemini access.
