Google Drive Inventory reporting now offers daily export options to BigQuery, complementing the existing weekly cadence. This enhanced reporting allows administrators to gain deeper insights into their data assets. Understanding data classification, access patterns, and usage helps identify security risks and ensure regulatory compliance. The feature is disabled by default and must be enabled at the domain level. Administrators who previously used weekly exports can simply switch to daily in the "Export Schedule" section. Setting up billing for your Google Cloud project is mandatory as BigQuery storage and querying incur costs. Users can estimate these costs using the Google Cloud Pricing Calculator. There is no impact on end users. This feature is now available for both Rapid and Scheduled Release domains. It is supported on various Google Workspace editions, including Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Frontline Plus, Education Standard, Education Plus, Enterprise Essentials Plus, and Cloud Identity Premium.
