Administrators can configure data storage and processing locations for the EU, US, or both, with granular settings for organizational units. This feature enables organizations to meet internal, legal, regulatory, and data sovereignty demands by controlling data residency. The expansion of these controls to Gemini allows for confident adoption across organizations. Admins can find detailed information in the Help Center regarding data regions, geographic choices, advanced settings, and covered data. End users do not have a setting for this feature. The rollout is immediate for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. Enterprise, Frontline Plus, and specific Education plans offer in-region processing and storage capabilities, with some Education editions providing storage only.
