Google Vids now allows users to create videos with AI avatars, offering a polished and consistent message delivery. Users can access this feature by going to vids.new, selecting "AI Avatars," typing a script, and choosing a persona. This new capability provides a fast and consistent way to narrate videos without the need for filming, proving beneficial for training, announcements, and product demonstrations. End users are impacted by this feature, which simplifies video creation for various organizational needs. Weekly generation limits are in place, with up to 20 AI avatar generations allowed, each capped at 30 seconds. Admins can manage Vids availability, with the feature enabled by default. Users can select from 12 distinct AI avatars, each with a unique look and voice, enabling spoken content addition without manual audio recording. While Vids supports local languages, AI features are currently limited to English. The rollout began on August 27, 2025, for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. This feature is available across various Google Workspace editions, including Business and Enterprise tiers, as well as for Nonprofits and specific Gemini add-ons.
