The quality of life for even the American poor often surpasses that of the middle class in other nations, as observed by European visitors during the World Cup. These Europeans noted the friendliness and overall affluence of Americans, even in less urbanized areas.Many vocal critics of capitalism exhibit profound hypocrisy. Hasan Piker, a wealthy streamer, denounces capitalism in a Mao suit while driving a luxury Porsche. Zohran Mamdani, from an elite Ugandan family, criticizes the system that afforded him privilege. Congressman Ro Khanna, a multimillionaire whose family owns golf courses and luxury vehicles, advocates for socialism. California Governor Gavin Newsom, who profited immensely from capitalism, now proclaims its failure. Even Graham Platner, a critic of capitalism, was supported by his wealthy parents in his business ventures.These criticisms largely originate from privileged elites in urban areas who have thrived under capitalism. Their espousal of socialist rhetoric appears to be a strategic move to gain power within the Democratic Party and the country. Historically, many violent socialist and communist movements, including the Bolsheviks and the architects of the French Reign of Terror, were led by wealthy individuals who sought to impose their nihilistic ideologies on the middle and lower classes, exempting themselves entirely. This pattern underscores a consistent hypocrisy among affluent critics of the system that enriched them.
